After the announcment that Nicolas Chesquiere will no longer be the creative director for the house of Balenciaga loads of names were pointed out to replace him. Among others Mary Katrantzou,Joseph Altuzzara , Alexander Wang and the list went on and on. But the news drooped just now the new creative director for Balenciaga is the 30 year old Scottish Christopher Kane! Kane present his first collection in 2006 and he has also collaborated with Topshop, shoe designer Manolo Blahnik and since 2009 Kane designs for the young Versace line Versus.Donatella Versace compared him to her legendary brother Gianni Versace. I strongly believe that the PPR CEO's made the correct desicion appointing him as the new creative director because his design aesthetic is impeccable.I was a huge fan of Nicolas work at Balenciaga so Christopher Kane you have big shoes to fill so you better not disappoint me!!

Kane's spokesperson has issued a denial:
"Rumors surrounding Christopher Kane's appointment as creative director of Balenciaga are unfounded," the rep told the trade paper.
PPR, Balenciaga's parent company, has not commented and a spokesperson for Balenciaga told WWD "it does not comment on rumors."
So i guess will have to wait and see!
