It's been 8 years since the first Vogue China issue hit the newsstands.The premier issue was launched in September 2005 with cover girl Gemma Ward alongside Chinese models Du Juan, Wang Wenqin, Tong Chenjie, Liu Dan, and Ni Mingxi. “For Vogue China’s 8th anniversary, we chose to feature 8 Chinese and western models on 8 individual covers,” wrote Angelica Cheung in her editor’s note. “Not only are each of these girls achieving great success in their careers, but they all embody in some way the Vogue spirit that we wish to promote.” Take a look at the covers below and pick your favorite!
